Maya Bell

Maya Bell is senior editor for the Office of Communications at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. A graduate of the University of Florida and a veteran newspaper journalist, she has chronicled Florida issues, policies and quirks for nearly 30 years. She spent most of them with the Orlando Sentinel, serving as the paper’s Miami bureau chief for two decades. Raised in Miami, she remembers many childhood Saturdays riding the bus from Westchester to Coral Gables to watch movies on Miracle Mile. She lives in the Little Gables with her husband and dog, two regular Miracle Mile boulevardiers.
