Mortgage Bankers Association meeting in Gables attracts 100 people

Approximately 100 people attended the inaugural meeting of the Mortgage Bankers Association of South Florida at the Riviera Country Club in Coral Gables on Tuesday, March 9. The keynote speaker was Anthony Britto, senior account liaison for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Miami Field Office, who spoke about FHA changes, risk management and regulatory procedures.

MBA of South Florida President Claudine Claus, President of Home Financing Center, opened the meeting and discussed the goals of the group which are to provide industry support, education, networking opportunities and spearhead legislative matters. Attending the meeting were mortgage lenders, title companies, appraisers and banks.
