Jerry Santeiro named vice chair of Alliance for Aging

Longtime Coral Gables resident Jerry Santeiro has been named vice chair of the Alliance for Aging of Miami-Dade and Monroe counties.

Formerly an executive with Florida Power & Light Co., Mr. Santeiro has been executive director of the Guardianship Program of Dade County since 2006.
With an extensive record of community service, Mr. Santeiro also chairs the Coral Gables Community Foundation.

Serving as chair of the Alliance for Aging is Ronald Thompkins; secretary, Suzette S. Pope; treasurer, Winston H. Lonsdale; and immediate past chair,
Rosa M. Cozad. They and Mr. Santeiro were installed recently at the organization’s 20th annual installation and awards luncheon at Jungle Island.

The Alliance for Aging is the area agency for services and information for the aging population. Its mission is to enable older persons to lead meaningful and dignified lives in their living environment and communities by providing leadership, direction and support for a comprehensive continuum of aging and long-term care services.
