Navarro opens pediatric prescription window‏

Navarro Discount Pharmacies, the largest Hispanic-owned drugstore chain in the U.S. with 28 locations in Miami, has opened a pediatric prescription window in their pharmacy location at 3949 SW 8 St. in Miami (one block from Coral Gables).

"Mothers are usually pressed for time and for children, it is important to get their medication as soon as possible," said Albert Garcia, executive vice president, pharmacy for Navarro.

As part of their healthy kids philosophy, the pediatric window was created to assist parents (and specifically working mothers) of children with urgent health needs who require medication immediately.

The window is identified with specific signage and provides expedited service and attention by a dedicated Navarro representative who takes the prescription, consults with the Pharmacist and makes sure that it is dispensed promptly.

Navarro has made the area next to the pediatric window 'child friendly' by adding a play area with a table, books and toys for children waiting with their parents for the prescription. Free coloring books and crayons are also available.
