Claudine Claus elected president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of South Florida

Mortgage lender Claudine Claus, president and CEO of Home Financing Center, the largest independent and privately owned mortgage lending institution in South Florida, has been elected president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of South Florida.

Ms. Claus’ financial career spans more than 23 years in the mortgage lending and real estate industry. Under her leadership, Home Financing Center has closed more than $3 billion in mortgages throughout South Florida since it was founded 25 years ago.

The Mortgage Bankers Association of South Florida is a non-profit trade organization composed of loan origination companies, servicing companies, and affiliated industry service providers. The organization is dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the mortgage banking industry, expanding homeownership opportunities and providing access to affordable housing to all Americans.

A resident of Coral Gables, Ms. Claus is active in a number of charitable and professional organizations including the Young Patronesses of the Opera, Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce Trustee, Young Presidents Organization, Builders Association of South Florida and the Association of Professional Mortgage Women. She is also involved with the University of Miami’s Golden Canes, Ibis Society and Citizens Board.
