Actors’ Playhouse has announced its 2010 – 2011 Season. Below is a brief description of each play.

Preview night tickets on the first Wednesday and Thursday are $35. Tickets for weeknights and matinees are $40, and on Friday and Saturday evenings $48.

The Cellar Club at the Biltmore put together a great event Saturday, August 14, in the Alhambra Ballroom featuring Chef Patricio Sandoval – owner of Mercadito in Midtown Miami.

Approximately 100 people attended the interactive luncheon and were eager and excited to try and learn about how to prepare the selected menu items of Mercadito.

Paws 4 You Rescue, a Miami-based charity, welcomes all guests and their dogs to a unique cocktail reception where dogs are not only the inspiration of the event but also the definite icebreakers of the night. The event will take place Aug. 25 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Biltmore Hotel, 1200 Anastasia Ave.

Coral Gables, “The City Beautiful,” is inviting seniors to add to its beauty. The city’s Park and Recreation Department and Senior Citizen Advisory Committee are currently seeking entries for the fourth annual Senior Citizen Art Show, “Celebration of Talent.”

The competition is open to Coral Gables residents, age 55 and over.

Performances

Rent: The School Edition is running now until Sunday, Aug. 15th, at the Coral Gables Riviera Theatre. The second theatre and conservatory session finishes with the hit production, with music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson.
