Editorial Review Policy for Content
All submissions to GablesHomePage.com are subject to editorial review to ensure compliance with our Terms of Use, among other considerations.
News content is subject to editing by GablesHomePage.com staff. Considerations include but are not limited to Associated Press style, grammar, punctuation, spelling, story flow and structure, clarity, redundancy and length.
Opinion content, including blogs, restaurant write-ups, performance reviews and travelogues, are also subject to editing for AP style and basic grammar. We strive, however, to preserve the voice and style of the opinion writer.
Submissions that are primarily promotional, advertorial or marketing in nature will not be published as editorial content. The submitter will receive an invitation to contact our advertising director for advertising opportunities and rates.
As a hyper-local, community-driven website, GablesHomePage.com rejects submissions that are not directly related to the Coral Gables community.
If conflicts arise, our Editorial Advisory Board, consisting of distinguished journalists, former journalists and community representatives, will be the final arbiter.
Among advertising options, GablesHomePage.com also offers paid political advertising to candidates in the city’s biennial elections. Each candidate, upon filing his/her candidacy statement, was invited to submit a bio and photo for publication (at no cost) in our Meet the Candidates section and was made aware of advertising opportunities. Advertising positions have been sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Negative or attack ads are not accepted in keeping with GablesHomePage.com’s mission to provide information in a respectful and dignified setting online. It is the discretion of the publisher and the Editorial Advisory Board to determine acceptability of advertising content on the site.
