About GHP

Gables Home Page is a nonprofit online news and information exchange for the Coral Gables community created by the Coral Gables Community Foundation.

Mission
To become the hyperlocal website that nurtures strong community and civic participation in Coral Gables, with a particular focus on inter-generational collaboration.

Funding
Initial funding came from an initial grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, matched by a grant from the Coral Gables Community Foundation, augmented by advertising, underwriting and sponsorships.

GablesHomePage.com also offers paid political advertising to candidates in the city’s biennial elections. Each candidate, upon filing his/her candidacy statement, was invited to submit a bio and photo for publication (at no cost) in our Meet the Candidates section and was made aware of advertising opportunities. Advertising positions have been sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Negative or attack ads are not accepted in keeping with GablesHomePage.com’s mission to provide information in a respectful and dignified setting online. It is the discretion of the publisher and the Editorial Advisory Board to determine acceptability of advertising content on the site.
