Loss at Duke drops Hurricanes one spot to No. 6 in AP poll
Coming off a 79-76 defeat against Duke, the University of Miami men’s basketball team dropped one spot to No. 6 in the Associated Press poll and remained at No. 7 in the USA Today coaches’ poll, both released on Monday, March. 4.
The Hurricanes (23-5, 14-2) rose as high as No. 2 in the polls two weeks ago before losing to unranked Wake Forest. Miami defeated Virginia Tech 54-50 last week before its March 2 loss at Duke.
Miami returns to its BankUnited Center home court this week to wrap up the regular season, playing against Georgia Tech at 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, and Clemson at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9.
