After losing 85-60 to unranked Wake Forest on Saturday, the University of Miami Hurricanes men’s basketball team dropped to No. 5 in the AP poll and to No. 7 in the USA TODAY coaches’ poll, both released on Monday, Feb. 25.

Miami made program history by climbing to No. 2 in the AP and USA TODAY polls of Feb. 18.

Last week’s action included a 54-50 win over Virginia on Feb. 19, but the Feb. 23 loss to Wake Forest ended the Hurricanes’ 14-game winning streak and spoiled a perfect 13-0 record in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

With a 22-4 record overall and 13-1 in conference play, the Hurricanes remain No. 1 in ACC standings.

Miami is back in action Wednesday, Feb. 27, as the Canes host Virginia Tech at 7 p.m. at the BankUnited Center. Get tickets at CanesTix.com or by calling 305-284-2263.
