Miami Dolphins visit Gables Prep Academy for Junior Training Camp
The Miami Dolphins visited Coral Gables Preparatory Academy on Jan. 10 for the Gatorade Junior Training Camp, which attracted over 180 students.
“The students enjoyed the challenge of the activities and the opportunity to use different equipment,” said Carlos E. Martinez, assistant principal.
The Miami Dolphins Youth Programs’ vision is to prepare the next generation of leaders in staying physically active through its junior training camps and youth football clinics and camps.
“We want to continue to stress the importance of staying physically fit, making positive choices, and receiving an education,” said Troy Drayton, alumni and youth programs coordinator for the Dolphins. “They are the future athletes, doctors, lawyers and teachers, so we want to guide them on the right path.”
The Miami Dolphins Youth Programs’ mission is to emphasize the importance of education, physical fitness, and positive choices for kids in a safe and fun environment.
“We hope by providing students with our ongoing physical education classes, intramural programs, and exciting events, such as the Miami Dolphins (Gatorade) Junior Training Camp,” Martinez added, “our students will become healthier individuals with a love for physical fitness and life-long athletic endeavors.”
