Three Gulliver seniors named National Merit semifinalists
Three seniors at Gulliver Schools are among approximately 16,000 students selected nationwide as semifinalists in the 58th annual National Merit Scholarship Program, the school has announced. The qualifying seniors are Gabriella Ekens, Matthew Elgart and Stephanie Rubin.
Additionally, nine seniors — Alina Anderson, Mollie Beek, Alan Jaramillo, Nikita Kulkarni, Ariel Lavi, Eric Milton, Juan Pigurina, Gianmarco Renzi and Brooke Rosenberg — qualified for National Merit commended status. All students took the PSAT and qualified during their junior year at Gulliver Schools.
“We are very excited to have our students recognized for their talent and hard work,” said Connie Ernsberger, director of college and guidance counseling. “It is an honor for Gulliver and for each student to be recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program.”
The three Gulliver semifinalists will continue in the running for 8,300 National Merit Scholarships, which will be announced in April.
