A Munich tradition since 1810, Oktoberfest is under way in Coral Gables through Sunday, Oct. 14, on the Bierhaus Plaza in front of Fritz & Franz Bierhaus, 60 Merrick Way.

The 18th annual Coral Gables Oktobertest opened Friday, Oct. 5 and continues daily 11 a.m. to midnight. The festival includes live bands from Austria and Germany, a decorated beer garden, traditional Austrian / Bavarian food, folk dances and more. There will also be a raffle for two round-trip tickets (Miami-Berlin) on Air Berlin.

Admission is free.  The event benefits Charlee Homes for Children.
