Gables Woman’s Club holds wine & cheese networker
The Coral Gables Woman’s Club held a wine and cheese party on Wednesday evening, Sept. 19, as it welcomed new and prospective members for an evening of networking with longer-term club members.
Guests enjoyed complimentary wine and an hors d’oeuvres buffet as they learned about how the club impacts the community and the difference they can make as members of the historic organization.
Established in 1923, the Coral Gables Woman’s Club helps make Coral Gables a better place to live, work and visit. For example, in 1939 the club founded the May Van Sickle Children’s Dental Clinic for underprivileged children. The clinic is the primary beneficiary of the club’s fund-raising efforts.
Mark your calendar for the club’s annual Casino Night fundraiser, coming up March 9, 2013, at the historic clubhouse, 1001 E. Ponce de Leon Blvd.
