The Rotary Club of Coral Gables recently welcomed a new member, Elena Heath, who was inducted on July 23.

Elena was born in Miami and grew up in Venezuela, where she spent most of her life and completed her studies in law. She recently moved to Miami from Australia, where she finished her master’s degree in marketing. While in Australia, she met a fellow American who told her about Rotary. She was very interested in what Rotarians do, so she contacted DGN Joe Roth, District 6990 membership chair, who referred her to the Coral Gables club.

The Rotary Club of Coral Gables is a member of Rotary International, a worldwide service organization with 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs in 200 countries that are devoted to ideal of service above self. The club meets every Thursday at 12:15 at the Coral Gables Country Club, 927 North Greenway Dr.
