Angelique dinner supports Coral Gables Community Foundation
Angelique Euro Café recently held a Belgian Beer Dinner that benefitted the Coral Gables Community Foundation.
Located at 117 Miracle Mile, Angelique teamed up with Belgian brewmasters from Stella Artois, Hoegaarden and Leffe to offer a four-course, beer-infused menu with beverage pairings in between.
The event, which took place Thursday evening, July 27, commenced with a nine-step ritual given by the brewmasters on the perfect pour, and continued with the explanation of the brewing process, brands’ history and reason for particular food pairing.
Featured menu items included Drunken Chorizo, a Spanish chorizo cooked in leffe sauce, Hoegaarden Moules, P.E.I. mussels steamed in a Hoegaarden and a white wine broth, braised short ribs served with gorgonzola potato cake and herb baby carrots, and apple tart & seasonal berries for dessert.
Guests took home their choice of a Belgian beer glass as well as a beer and food-pairing booklet.
Angelique donated a portion of the evening’s proceeds to the Coral Gables Community Foundation, which was founded in 1991 to enhance the quality of life for people who live or work in the “City Beautiful.”
